Finding the right church is not an easy thing to do. Being a faithful church isn't easy either. Both the church seeker and the church must be certain that they understand what God intends the Church to be or both will end up in a world of trouble.

The Church today is pressured to be everything to everyone. The church seeker has been led to believe that production, glitz and size are the proofs that "God is in the house" and churches increasingly face the pressure to produce these proofs.

We at East Gate Presbyterian aren't sure about production and glitz but we are committed to seeking the presence of the great and holy God in our midst. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and are committed to understand and obey what God has revealed in His Word.

We believe that the church is a family, a family of people who have been redeemed and called out of the world to follow Christ. The growth we seek is that growth that results from people coming to repentance and saving faith. We are not after a single demographic. What we are after is God's glory and the souls of: young and old; rich and poor; red, yellow, black and white for all are precious in His sight.

We sing what is true, it may be old or may be new. We believe that it is not all about us but that we have been called to serve, not be served.

By God's kindness we love each other. We are involved in one another's lives. We enjoy each other, laugh together, poke fun at one another, eat together and work together. We carry one another's burdens.

If you are looking for "everything" in a church we are probably not the church for you. If you are looking for the pursuit of God's glory, a commitment to His truth and a family we are definitely the church for you. For our part, we are looking for people who want to pursue God and help His church become what it can be by His grace.

We invite you to visit us and find out if perhaps East Gate is the church God has for you.

Our Beliefs

One Living and True God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • At East Gate Presbyterian we believe that there is only one, true and living God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is great in our eyes, there is no one else like Him. He can do all things. He is in control of all things. He knows all things. He is holy. He is merciful. He is love and He is to be feared. All the webpages in the world cannot contain statements to desribe His glorious, limitless majesty.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

  • We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

  • We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

  • We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

  • We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

  • We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

    Our Values

We believe that God is great. God's in His greatness created all things and by His greatness, He governs all things. In short, we belive it's all about God: His glory, His Son, His truth, His will are what matters most.

We believe that God has revealed His will through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one comes to God but through Jesus. Jesus reconciles us to God through His sinless life, His substituitionary death and ressurection.

We believe that the Bible is the unchanging truth of God. The Bible is God's very Word and reveals His mind and will for all  of us. The Word of God changes us, we are never to change the Word of God.

We believe that God is fullfilling His will in the world by His Holy Spirit through the Church. The Church is called to be holy, faithful and evangelistic. We believe that our true purpose in life is discovered and lived out in and through the Church.
