The East Gate Women to Women (W2W) committee will be hosting a Fall Retreat on Saturday, September 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
“Flourishing to the Finish“
The Christian life is compared to a race that has been established and set before us by God. A marathon race with guaranteed trials, persecutions, and hardships, it requires commitment, training, discipline, endurance, and faith. As we run this race of grace for Christ, we must fix our eyes on Him who is the author and the perfecter of our faith. By His grace, we will flourish to the finish as have believers who steadfastly ran before us and will become examples to those who watch us run!

Speaker Biography: Patti Haynie grew up in Wheaton, MD, a suburb of Washington, DC. The summer she turned ten, a friend invited her to Vacation Bible School where she heard and responded to the Gospel. She has been running the race of faith with Jesus ever since! Married for fifty-one years, she and her husband, Jim, have three children and thirteen grandchildren. Patti has been an English teacher, a stay-at-home mom, a missionary in Guadalajara, Mexico (2003-2007), and a Marketing Director for Genesis HealthCare. In 2010, they moved from Anne Arundel County, MD to Milton. They are members of Berean Community Church in Milford, where Jim is as an elder and Patti teaches a Women’s Bible Study and mentors younger women.
