The initial chapters of Genesis tell us of God's work of creation. Time and time again the Bible says that as God created He, "looked and saw that it was good" (Genesis 1:18 for example). But interestingly in Genesis 2:7 God sees something that is not good, the man that He has created is alone and in need of help. God purposes to make another creature like the man, "suitable" to the man, to help the man. This creature will lead God to say that things are "very good" after her arrival (Genesis 1:31) and so, God made a woman.
At East Gate Presbyterian Church we value women and through our women's ministry we desire to equip women to know Christ and be committed to extending His kingdom with their lives. We believe that true Christian faith finds its expression in a woman's home, church, community, and throughout the world.
Ladies, we invite you to join us as we get to know each other by attending Bible Studies, an Annual Women's Conference, Fall Retreat, Christmas Luncheon and many other opportunities to serve and grow. Our joy is using our gifts with and for our sisters in Christ and bringing honor and glory to our Lord.
Our women's ministry has a joint leadership team led by our Women's Ministry director, Phyllis Wanaselja.
